It's Mother's Day!

So today was my first Mother's Day.  Jason took over baby duties last night so I could get some rest.  I woke up this morning and started to get ready for church.  Then I heard the sound of Larson fidgeting over the monitor.  I went to check on him.  Well, I walked in and he greeted me with a smile.  But next to him was a card that said Mommy.  He got me a Mother's Day card.  He even signed it.  I have a prodigy on my hands!

We all got ready and went to church.  There was a special message for the Moms.  They even had all the kids come up front to grab a little present for their Moms.  Before the sermon, the Chaplain took prayer requests from the congregation.  After he had heard from everyone he asked for a moment of quiet reflection for those who had unspoken prayers.  During this, the quietest moment of the service, Larson decides he has to toot.  Loudly.  Twice.  Oh, the joys!

After church we went to visit our friends and their new baby boy.  When we got home Jason fixed me brunch.  After an afternoon nap I went on a Mother's Day motorcycle ride.

I had a great first Mother's Day.

  1. I would like to congratulate you on having a little boy. Farts are hilarious things and they will NEVER grow old. . . I ever have a little boy, he is going to be the most fart-obsessed kid on the planet.
