4 Month Check Up

Larson had his 4 month check up this morning. The doctor said he's developing perfectly. He weighs 15.4 lbs and is 25.5 inches long. All was going well until the time came for the shots. The nurse held Larson's feet between his legs so he wouldn't kick. Then he asked me to hold down my baby boy's little arms so he could give him his 3 shots. Ugh! That was so hard. Once that first needle went into his chunky little thigh he frowned and started screaming. It was so pitiful. I had to watch while that man stuck him two more times! Then Jason and I cuddled with Larson. It took a while to calm him down. His two month shots weren't nearly that bad.

By the end of the day, Larson seemed to have forgotten the events that unfolded this morning.
