We found a park!

Jason and I were craving Indian food one night, so we packed up Larson and headed out the door. The restaurant was empty when we got there. Larson did so well, though. He really liked the papadum -- it's a thin crunchy flatbread; looks like a giant potato chip. Sorry, no pictures. I left the camera home that night.

Daddy and Larson love to roll around on the floor. This is really funny to listen to. There's so much cuteness going on, it's ridiculous.

I bought Larson a new toy. It's a puppy that sings nursery rhymes, and teaches colors and the parts of the body. Larson just looked at it at first. Then he lunged at it and gave it a hug. It was so cute.

One of our friends told us about a park about 15 minutes from our house. We went there last Saturday not really knowing what to expect. We were actually impressed. There are playsets for the kids, fountains that spring from the ground, buckets that drop water, a mister, shaded bench areas and two trails if you want to go for a run or walk. We stopped by again on Sunday just because. Best of all, it's free! (The downside is this may be where Larson got pink eye. More on that later. He's okay, though.)

As Larson gets older, he wants to do more and more on his own. Like put on his shoes, "help" in the kitchen and eat messy foods.....like yogurt.

Auntie Nique bought Larson and me matching penguin cups. I know, can you imagine...me, liking penguins? Larson seemed to be grasping the concept of drinking from a straw, so I gave him his cup and I had mine. Here we are enjoying a nice sip.

And then Larson decided he had to have both of them.
