Snow Day!

Well, it snowed here in Shreveport today. Actually, it was a freezing rain/snow/sleet mix which made travel dangerous. Most who worked at the base were told to come in at 10 am, then that was extended to 2 pm, and then we were told to stay home. Others, like me, who are considered "mission essential" had to show up as usual. So, I left 15 minutes early for my drive to work. The roads were not salted or sanded and I barely made it 25 mph. I ended up arriving at my normal time. I did my usual briefings (except people actually listened this time) and worked on a few projects before my boss told me to go home. So, being the awesome Captain that I am, I followed orders and came home around 1100.

Here's Larson ready to face the snow.

Jason was supposed to fly today, but the squadron canceled all flights. He went to work anyway to handle a few things but ended up back at the house since the daycare was closed.

What were we to do....all three of us home on a Friday afternoon?? Well.....

We had fun watching Larson work on his walking skills.

We played with the toy stacker.

Larson played with his wagon.

And then he promptly moved on to his giraffe trike.

We rolled around on the floor.

And had our laughs before bedtime.

It was an awesome snow day!
