In October we drove down to Galveston and hopped on a cruise to the Bahamas. We had a great time. Larson was a lot easier to handle on this one. He still had his meltdowns, but what three year old wouldn’t.
This is the Disney Wonder in port as taken by a fellow passenger.
He also took this picture of the lobby. This is where we embarked. As you walk on board, they announce each family by name.
There’s a webcam at Galveston that records the comings and goings of the cruise ships. This is ours, the Disney Wonder, leaving port on 26 Oct. Part-ay!
This was the first towel animal of the cruise.
Jason just relaxing.
Second towel animal. Larson didn’t know what to make of it.
Hello, Key West, Florida!
We went to the aquarium and the pirate museum.
Larson definitely liked the ice cream cone.
It’s the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. “I’m scared beyond the capacity for rational thought.” Guess which movie that's from.
Towel animal #3. Larson was a little apprehensive with this one, too.
Hot tub!
Disney has its own Bahama island called Castaway Cay. They sponsor a 5K race there, too. It took me about 30 minutes to finish. Larson and Jason were waiting for me at the finish line.
After a quick change it was time for some more fun!
Monorail!
Towel animal #4.
Our third port was Nassau in the Bahamas. We hung out at Hilton's private beach.
The view from my lounge chair.
Me!
Can't complain. The beach was gorgeous!
Jason and Larson tried to play in the water, but it was a bit chilly.
Jason's footprint is on the left, Larson's is on the right.
Larson's favorite hang out was the Mickey Pool.
Argh! Pirate Day!
Stitch!
On Halloween we had a character breakfast. We met Pluto, Goofy, Mickey and Minnie. Larson and I both dressed up in our Batman shirts for the day.
We also wore crazy hats created by our server, Emma.
Mahmed, the Head Waiter, came by to see how Larson was doing.
Jason and I learned how to draw Stitch. He's my favorite character.
Later on, Jason and I donned our 50s costumes for pictures, dinner, and then a Halloween party on deck.
On the last day of the cruise, Larson went swimming in the rain. He also made a new friend.
Children who attend the kids clubs on board put on a little show in which they sing and dance on stage on the last night of the cruise. Larson is just to the right of Minnie in this one. Doesn't he look so little up there?
He's on the left in this one.
Off to dinner!
Hot tub, again!
Late night pizza snack.
Tuckered out!
Until next time, Disney Wonder!
