Manic Monday to TGI Friday

I usually dread Mondays because if anything will go wrong, it'll happen on the first day back to work. Well, my Monday turned out alright. Jason, on the other hand, had quite the morning.

He was scheduled to show at 0700 for a flight. He got up, got ready, got Larson ready and headed to the base. Just outside the gate he realized he left his ID card.....and his driver's license and every other ID card he needs to get anywhere near the flightline. So he had to drive back to the housed to get all of his cards.

He arrived at the daycare to drop off Larson when he noticed another issue. Larson wasn't wearing any shoes or socks. He was in such a rush that morning he forgot. The daycare had spare socks and shoes for Larson, so no worries.

Jason made it to his squadron just to find out his flight had been canceled because new concrete was poured over the weekend and it hadn't hardened enough for the B-52 to take off. It wouldn't have been so bad, except some people received calls the night before that they would not be flying. In fact, Jason did get a call on Sunday evening from his supervisor, but it was pertaining to another issue. But this supervisor was scheduled to fly on Monday, knew about the runway and didn't inform Jason. Sigh.

Okay. Now that that's done, lets get to some pictures. I mentioned in an earlier post that I found a chocolate bunny hidden in the house by the Easter Bunny. Here is the evolution of a chocolate bunny.

Just to refresh your memory, here's a pic of the whole bunny.

We nibbled on the ears on Tuesday.

By Thursday, Jason wanted to finish him off.

Bye, bye Bunny.

April was designated the Month of the Military Child. Today, all of the kids in the base daycare marched in a parade around the building. The younger ones were carted around in strollers. A fire truck led the way as the kids carried banners and banged on instruments. Some parents came out to help.

Larson even got to see the Fireman's best friend, Sparky.
